No, I don’t mean frisco V-day, I mean Sugar Free!

Sugar is going to be flying at most of you today from all angles, so check out this link for more motivation to keep the momentum of SFF alive and find out how sugar will ultimately kill you.

Notice how much reference there is to the sweet stuff’s connection to cancer?  Scientists have known for decades that cancer cells exclusively eat glucose, and there have been some really promising clinical trials showing benefit of a ketogenic diet and cancerous tumor shrinkage (ketogenic= high protein, high fat, low carbohydrate diet eaten in specific ratios for therapeutic benefit).   I wonder why the idea hasn’t hit mainstream….. any ideas?

Holy Hell, I’m glad I didn’t give in this weekend! 14 days strong here…starting to get a bit sick of frozen mango chunks for dessert though…

I’m picturing a public service announcement with Cancer changing it’s facebook status to “it’s complicated with glucose”

    Who’s with me?

I almost flew off the handle in Safeway one day when they were giving out little bags of candy for breast cancer awareness. I compare that to free cigarettes from the american lung association. when are people going to get it…..
